What better to do on a Sunday afternoon than look at some grimy old records?

I kicked things off at the Goodwill on Everett Mall Way. Two large bins of platters were revealed. A flip through the inventory showed both the mono and stereo version of a Frank Chacksfield album. I actually do own a Phase 4 release by Mr. Chacksfield and I have enjoyed many spins. A glance at Discogs shows that no mono version exists, but I swear that is what I saw. I think perhaps it may not have even been a US release. I think I’ll go back this weekend to have another peek!

After that I headed over to the local St. V’s. The parking lot was under construction which held very little parking. I parked illegally in a blatant manner and rushed inside. I only made it through about half of the bins before an interloper precluded me from finishing my important work. Up that point I didn’t find much, save the Eng comp and the Jefferson Airplane LP (which I owned once upon a time).
I didn’t walk away with anything but as always, relished the chance to dirty my fingers on another 500 (or so) filthy old jackets, on another coast I likely won’t soon again visit!
